Oh my god this costume was at least 100 hours of work. DO THE ROGUE CHAMPION, I said. It'll be SO MUCH FUN, I said. Of course it was incredibly difficult and incredibly tedious (over 30 belts on this thing, REALLY?)
But I love Dragon Age. IDGAF what anyone says, I thought DA2 was fantastic fun. Hawke is awesome, and dual-wielding rogue is my favourite way to play. I think the best thing about making Bioware costumes is that the fellow fans are some of the nicest people in the entire world. I met so many great people over the weekend and we just excitedly jumped up and down while talking about Dragon Age.
I got to learn some new techniques on this costume, since it was my first time working with Worbla for the armor/belt buckles/sculpted items. I LOVE WORBLA. It's a dream to work with. I still have some things to fix up on this for next con, but overall it went really well since it's actually pretty comfortable once it's all on (getting it off however...the wiggle dance I have to do to get out of that shirt is pretty interesting, even though the armor can detach from it).
Daggers need some more work, but were lovingly cut out of MDF by Robtachi, and he is my Warden hero
